Ubuy has become a go-to for shoppers in emerging markets who want access to international brands. However, high shipping fees and unpredictable customs duties often lead users to look for alternatives that offer better localized support and more transparent pricing structures.
First, what is Ubuy?
Best for: Shoppers looking for specific niche brands from the US or UK who are willing to pay a premium for global delivery.

- Massive catalog featuring millions of products from global stores
- Service availability in over 180 countries
- User-friendly search and filtering for international brands
Where it falls short
- Shipping costs can frequently exceed the price of the item itself
- Customs and import duties are not always clearly calculated at checkout
- Customer support can be difficult to reach for shipping delays

Frequently asked questions
Why is international shipping so expensive on Ubuy?
Ubuy uses express international carriers and often lists items from different warehouses, meaning you may pay separate shipping fees for each item in your cart.
Does Lynks handle customs for me?
Yes, Lynks is designed to manage the customs process and provide a total price that includes these fees, reducing the risk of packages being held at the border.
Is package forwarding better than using a store like Ubuy?
Package forwarding (like MyUS) is better if you want to shop at stores that don't ship internationally at all. Direct stores (like Lynks or Ubuy) are easier for one-off purchases.
